Osteopathic care for babies

Why do parents choose osteopathic care for their baby?

Osteopathic care for babies

Some parents choose to explore osteopathy as a gentle, hands-on approach for their baby during the early stages of life. Osteopathic care for babies focuses on calm assessment and very light touch, always adapted to the individual child.

Osteopathy is complementary and does not replace medical care. Parents are always encouraged to consult their GP, midwife or health visitor with any concerns about their baby’s health.

Babies and crying

Crying is a natural part of early life, and all babies cry to communicate their needs. For new parents, periods of frequent crying can sometimes feel worrying or overwhelming, even when everything is developing normally.

Every baby is different, and patterns of crying can vary widely during the first months. If parents ever feel concerned about their baby’s crying, feeding or general wellbeing, it is important to seek advice from a GP, midwife or health visitor.
